Ricardo's story of struggle: Teamwork and a second chance

At Bolsa Artesanal MX, we believe that every bag carries a story, a second chance. Today we want to share with you the story of Ricardo, a young lawyer who, despite adversity, found a new way to rebuild his life.

At 29, Ricardo was already a licensed lawyer, full of dreams and plans. However, one day, a decision changed everything: being in the wrong place at the wrong time with his father when they were arrested. Ricardo spent two years in jail, paying bail and facing the weight of a legal process that marked his life forever.

Today, although free, Ricardo faces a reality that many are unaware of: in Mexico, nearly 80% of companies require a criminal background check, which makes it extremely difficult for people with criminal records to re-enter the workforce. Practicing law, his dream profession, has become almost impossible.

But instead of giving up, Ricardo and his father found a way to keep going. His father, who is still serving a long sentence, makes bags inside the prison; Ricardo, from the outside, manages the orders, organizes the delivery times, and makes sure that each bag reaches its destination.

Each piece that comes from their hands represents effort, redemption, and hope. Each woven bag, each accessory placed, is the result of teamwork and a new vision for the future.

At Bolsa Artesanal MX, we don't just design bags. We design opportunities.

Supporting our bags is not just about choosing exclusive Mexican design, it's about being part of a story of social transformation.
